Languages of My People: A Fruit Counting Adventure is a multicultural story follows an African American boy and his mother as they travel across the world. On their adventures, they visit France, the Dominican Republic, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, and Brazil and share popular fruits from each country. With the help of pronunciation guides, readers will learn the numbers 1 through 10 in English, French, Spanish, Swahili, Igbo, Zulu, and Portuguese. They will also see notable landmarks in each country.
